Wells Rotary Nursery School is situated just south of Batticaloa, on the east coast of Sri Lanka. This is a Tamil area, and was badly affected by the tsunami. Even today many families are living in temporary shelters, though some charities are just beginning to build here. For SHIVA Charity, however, this is the 25th nursery school to be erected since the tsunami.
The photos above show the opening ceremony, and, as you can see, the parents and the children are delighted with their new school, and its playing area at the rear of the building. The land for rebuilding was given to SHIVA Charity by the local community.
