Ginette Harrison School , Rabi- Opi, Nepal. Half the school was opened in 2005, thanks to generous sponsorship. Please help us complete it in 2006!!

The dark and dingy class rooms above are in an old temporary government building. The Maoists have moved us from the school we had before, and told us that we must build a new school. It was a threat we took seriously, as they had shot headmasters, and blown up schools in the past! Luckily, we had generous help from sponsors in 2005 and we were able to build the first five class rooms. As you can see below, these are spacious and light, and half of GHS children now have a safe place in which to learn. We need a second floor in 2006, so that we can complete the task. The cost will be £5500. Please consider making a donation, with a cheque to "SHIVA Charity" sent to 19 Daventry Rd, BRISTOL BS41DQ, or by making an on-line donation by clicking here!

The bottom half of the school was ceremoniously opened in November 2005. The younger classes now have a school that they can be proud of, with plenty of space and light.

We hope that the older children can join these lucky ones in 2006, with your help!
